The Titania decors range amongst the most extravagant and difficult genres ever produced by Loetz. Glasses in this variant always proved to be a challenge for the executing craftsmen, and every vase is unique in its execution.
This vase excels in a beautiful, floral calyx-like shape and its big size. The elegant shape is typical for this generation of decor variants by Loetz around 1909. The red stylized leaves that have been worked in and spun around the side of the vase proof to be a nice example of the reduced depiction of plants in objects of art from this time.
