One of the most important manufacture, the Wiener Keramik, was founded by Michael and Berthold Loeffler. After pleads by Josef Hoffmann, Loeffler began to make some drafts for the Wiener . Besides ceramics he also designed jewellery and lidded jars. His style is marked by an enormous delicateness.
This brooch is marked with the “”, the “WW” for jewellery, the monogram of Berthold Loeffler and the “Wiener Werk ” in three rows. In the MAK, the Museum for applied arts in Vienna, an original draft can be found along with a photograph of the Archive of the Wiener with the inventory numbers KI 12534-4 and WWF 94-108-13.
