Two stylized heads of a lovers couple, man and woman, perfectly executed with very reduced faces. If you face the two heads it almost seems as they would want to share a kiss. The display of the hairs of each head is very striking. They start at the bottom of each head and are finely crafted. Both figures are stamped at the bottom with the following marks:„Made in Austria“, „wHw“ in the circle, a big „Franz „, and „Hagenauer Wien“.
Provenance: the former owner aquired the two heads at the "Joia Gallery" in New York in the year 1973.
