This centerpiece was designed by Josef Hoffmann in 1920. As usual the craftsmanship by the Wiener Werkstatte is exceptional. The ring linking the two parts together bestows a lightweight air on this item. The main material used for this gorgeous piece was massive silver which became very rare during this time. The top part is marked with “Wiener Werkstätte” in a one-liner, which is very rare. Other marks are the signet “JH” for Josef Hoffmann, the “Rosenpunze” and the Vienna tax mark for silver, the “Dianakopf”. The bottom piece is marked with the “WW” signet, the mark “900” for fine silver and the “Dianakopf”.
