A very fine and typical design of Josef Hoffmann. Bottle stoppers of the Wiener Werkstatte were mostly designed by Josef Hoffmann or Josef Holmann. They always have a revolutinonary and modern design.

This bottle stopper was, according to the MAK (Museum for applied arts Vienna), inventory number KI12094-7, designed before 1911. The hallmark "Made in Austria" tells us that this item was made after 1920. It also bears the hallmarks "Wiener Werk Statte" and the personal sign "JH" for Josef Hoffmann. It is in an excellent condition, very minor surface wear.
