Even during his engineering studies Quittner spent much time with painting, after that went to the “Académie Julian” in Paris and learned under Camille Pissaro the art of landscape painting. For studying purposes he traveled almost whole Europe, the Orient and North-America (USA, Canada and Mexico). Between traveling he lived in Paris, where he was supported by Claude Monet. Quittners “Oeuvre” shines with its virtuoso light and air effects, makes him a sensual landscape- and genre painter.
