Pravoslav Kotik is one of the most important painters of the Czech Avantgarde. Kotiks life work shows a series of different periods, reaching from the "Expressionism", to Kubism up to Neoclassizism and from narrative to metaphorical.
From 1908 to 1912 Pravoslav Kotik studied at the "Kunstgewerbeschule" in Prag. 1916 he became member of the "Manes" group and 1920 he became member of the group "Umelecka beseda". From 1927 P. Kotik organized several exhibition in Prag and other large Czech citys. 1939 Kotik wins the silver medal at the World Exhibition in Paris. His works are exhibited in all larger Czech museums.
