The landscapepainter Hermann Geiseler was a pupil of Adolf Schinnerer in Munich. He was influenced by van Gogh and Kokoschka and won the "Dürerpreis" of Nürnberg in the year 1930. He was also a founding member of the "Seerosenkreis", a table reserved for the regulars in the Schwabinger restaurant "Seerose". The art gallery Schöninger in Munich did a collective exhibition about Geiseler in the year 1952.
