The Phenomen decor was the most famous invention of the art glass studio Loetz Witwe Klostermühle. At the turn of the century, the decors of the studio were some kind of a revolution on the art market and the skills of the craftsmenship of the glassblowers in the studio were unmatched in whole Austria-Hungaria.
The decor Phenomen genre 7734 is one of the earliest decors invented in 1898. Typical for this genre is a priming, very iridescent surface and a strong waveoptical pattern. This vase in particular has a yellow undercoating of glass and is signed at the bottom.
