We present here a centerpiece by Loetz - Witwe Klostermühle. The glassbowl is mould blown and partly hand shaped, reduced and iridescent and has a polished pontil. The mounting, made out of polished bronze, is attributed to E. Bakalowits Söhne although it is not marked except for a number carved into the metal. E. Bakalowits Söhne are famous for their floral mountings and often had contracts with Loetz - Witwe Klostermühle. According to the blueprints and the decoration this Vase is dated around 1902. The perfect execution along with the steel blue iridescence make this centerpiece so outstanding and shows the many variations of Papillion decoration. All this makes it a very special piece in our range of goods.
The vase is in a perfect condition, no cracks, scratches or flea bites.
