This jug, produced by the bohemian art glass studio Johann Lötz Witwe, was designed by Marie Kirschner in the year 1904. Kirschner had a friendly relationship to the Spaun family, which gave her the possibility to influence the production of the art glass studio to a greater extent than other artists. Typical of Marie Kirschner’s style is the use of the Melusion décor and the simple, captivating shape of the jug. The object is also signed in the polished pontil.
