Uranglas Vase Josef Hoffmann

Here we present a vase manufactured by Mayr's Neffe for the Wiener Werkstätte. The glassware is coloured lightgreen and cut in fourteen sections. The very speciality and eponymous effect of the "Uranglas" is, that when put under uv-light it emits a lightgreen shiver, an almost radioactive like glow. The glass vase is mouth blown and has a polished pontil. The design is by no less than Josef Hoffmann realized in the year of 1916 and was executed in a small variety of colours like blue and violet. The vase is completly undamaged with no nicks, fleabites or other imperfections. bibliography: Ausstellungskatalog "Vienna 1913.
